How Do I Vote?
Sierra Club members in good standing for at least 1 year are eligible to vote for Board of Directors candidates. The 2022 Board of Directors election materials will be posted at https://www.sierraclub.org/board-directors-election-2022.
If you already signed up for electronic voting materials, then look for an email with your ballot. If you did not request electronic materials before the deadline, or if you prefer a paper ballot, then look for an official ballot in your postal mailbox.
Ballots - both paper and electronic - must be received by noon eastern time on 4/27, so vote now!
If you want to vote electronically for future years, you can sign up here, but the deadline for seeking an electronic ballot has already passed for this year’s election. For questions about your ballot or membership status, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Voting only takes a few moments of your time, but the impact to Sierra Club’s organization, mission, and to the planet is far-reaching.
The 2022 Sierra Club Official Ballot includes the six formally nominated candidates featured on this site as well as some petition candidates for the five open seats on the Board of Directors for the 2022-2025 term.
The Board of Directors, composed of 15 elected volunteers, is the governing body of the Sierra Club. The Board has the responsibility and authority to oversee all staff and volunteer activities of Sierra Club, to establish Sierra Club’s conservation priorities and internal policies, and to adopt and implement the annual budget. The Board of Directors elects Sierra Club’s officers, including the President and the Executive Committee, and selects Sierra Club’s Executive Director.
